Some good news…
During the pandemic, the online bookstore, Bookshop.org started a lifeline for indie bookstores and has now surpassed $50 million in funds given. Bookshop’s own revenue jumped 55% between 2024 and 2025 and they want to be able to give even more to bookstores than the $7 million given last year.
Bringing readers and writers together in BC…
Vancouver Writers Fest will be happening this year from October 18-25. This festival is geared towards strengthening the connection between writers and readers and focuses on this goal through panels, interviews, and readings. Check out the details here!
