A quick-read resource…
This week I picked up Romancing the Beat by Gwen Hayes after one of my favourite authors recommended it on Instagram. This little volume is under 100 pages and covers all the beats you need to ensure you hit in a romance arc, even if you’re not writing romance. She stresses the usefulness of these tips at all stages of writing, from outlining to editing. I read it in a day and will be putting her advice to work as I structure the next draft.
A sci-fi presentation…

Quote of the week…
